Starting Friday, October 11th, I will be releasing several new songs with Black Sea Storm every other Friday during October and November. Now that I can record the acoustic version of my songs while being on the road, this situation is allowing me to release single albums more often. Boş Yelkenler Altında (Akustik) is being released today. To record this new single album, I used my live gear for touring. The only additional purchase I had to make to make the album releases possible on the road were potable mix monitors.
Rewriting Songs
Adapting my existing songs to the acoustic guitar initially by necessity opened new doors for me in terms of creativity. In the case of Boş Yelkenler Altında (Akustik)

Remastered versions
A remastered version of the Black Sea Storm album Boşalan Dünyam is also going to be released in a month or so. In reality, it will just be the first mastered version. I had released the album when I relocated to Switzerland in 2011 after staying for more than 11 years in the United States. I did not have the means nor the desire to invest in mastering back then, but I really wanted to release something to keep the ball rolling with Black Sea Storm. The version that has been online for the past eight years or has no mastering on it.
Demo Tapes from 2011 and New Material
I am also planning on releasing some demo versions of songs I had recorded in 2011 while rebuilding my home studio in Switzerland. Besides, I have several new song ideas in the works, and I could also record any song from the live set as an acoustic version. As one can see there are a lot of new release possibilities that are presenting themselves to me at the moment. The challenge for recording, as always, is to find dedicated time to recording and a relatively quiet environment in the context of touring.
Live Show in Mexico City
On September 29th, I had the opportunity to play a show at an independent theater in Mexico City called Tadeco. This allowed me to meet beautiful people who are running the structure. The attendance was low but incredibly supportive. I played on a rainy Sunday afternoon at 2 PM. On the positive sides of things, this is the first time I was able to connect my new effect pedal through the XLR output and have a return monitor all for myself. Miguel, one of the owners of the place, was doing the sound and lighting. He put a fantastic effort to make Black Sea Storm sound and look good on stage. It was a great pleasure for me to play in ideal conditions. In addition to Miguel’s great work, the actual space sounded terrific acoustically. There is a chance that I may go and play at Tadeco again, hopefully on a busier night.
Live Show in Querétaro
Tomorrow I have a show here in Querétaro at El Centro Cultural El Arbol. I am planning on staying a few more weeks in the region to try to get more shows. After that, I may be leaving Mexico for a different country.
It has been quite tricky and extremely time-consuming to book Black Sea Storm in Mexico. I still managed to be nine times on a bill in this country, which I am incredibly proud of. That said, I would like to experience a place where there are a more defined rock circuit and open mic opportunities. The first city I fell in love in Latin America, Buenos Aires, may actually be the perfect place for Black Sea Storm now that I am playing live shows regularly.
